Im honestly not sure what to tell you, everyone has a different experience when they switch to the CG method and different transition periods.

For example before i switched to CG I was doing baking soda washes and my hair was super dried out. When i went CG my hair got super moisturized and way easier to handle.
It could be that youre hair is having trouble adjusting to having no silicones in it now, and its responding by poofing out and being is rebellious as possible.

The truth about the CG method though is that results are never instantaneous, i recommend sticking to the method for at least 3 months to get a better taste of the method. You must remember that the condition of your hair before you go CG affects how quickly you see results as well.

Additionally the products you are using are fine, but perhaps you may need to experiment with styling products until you find your holy grail!

Good luck
