By "RO" I'm guessing you mean rinse-out. Is that correct? Also, I've seen mention by some folk of Burt's Bees Body Butter. Now, are they referring to an actual body butter intended for the skin, being used in the hair? Or are they referring to some form of conditioner intended for the hair? And, thank you so much for the excellent info already posted!

The only Burt's Bees body butter I know of is for the body.

When I started doing CG a couple of years ago (modified CG), I kind of went a little crazy and bought a lot of stuff I didn't use. So, it's a good idea to start out with just some inexpensive basics. One of my very favorite conditioners is Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut conditioner. I also like Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition (both smell great!!)

If you want to use a low-poo, Burt's Bees makes some good ones. Also, the Giovanni brand is good (ie: Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat (GTTTT) ). Nature's Gate Mandarin Orange is also really nice and not expensive. I like DevaCurl Low-Poo, but I think it costs a little more.

For a good hair gel, I like LA Looks Curl Gel or Herbal Essences Set Me Up.

If you need a leave-in (I don't usually use one), I like DevaCurl B'Leave-In, but I think some people use a light conditioner as their leave-in.

For a spritzer (curl activator), I love Garnier Fructis Wonder Waves Spray.

These products can all be found in most local drug stores (CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart, Walgreens, etc.) and even in some supermarkets.

Good luck to you!!
