I am certainly no expert at this point, but you might want to try a protein treatment. If you are experiencing breakage after all the moisture that you put in your hair with the daily conditioning, I can't believe that any breakage you incur would be due to lack of moisture....so it could just be lack of strength.
You could try one of the homemade protein treatments listed on this site and see if that helps. As far as I can tell, you should always follow protein treatments with a good DT.

I guess it all depends on which proteins you use and how sensitive you are to protein.
