The thing is, strict cg doesn't work for everyone. It can be as bad as loading your hair full of cones if it's not right for you!

Some variation of it may be better. For me, I use a low poo once a week, and use very little cones - all of which are easily removed and/or water soluble. The rest of the time I co-wash. Once in a while I treat it, once in a while I clarify it. I just kind of play my hair by ear, so to speak.

So don't worry as much about all the "rules" of cg. They are guidelines - you have to find what your hair likes best!
