Sunday evening I made my second attempt at a whipped shea butter mix. This time using my butters trio from Butters-n-Bars I made a mix of primarily shea butter with a little cocoa butter and a little mango butter. I then added a few teaspoons of coconut oil and jojoba oil followed by a squirt (since that's all I had left) of 100% AVG. I whipped it all together and then divided it in order to make 2 different scents using some fragrance oils from Coastal Scents. I didn't make a lot as this is all new to me but I ended up with 4 ounces in total and filled 2, 2-oz jars.

Once I take down my braids (i used the mix on it last night) I will be able to determine if it was a true success but for now, the fact that I was excited to even put this in my hair is a good thing since my first attempt went from the mixing bowl straight to the trash.
