My hairstylist always asks if I want it diffused or blow dried straight. Usually I tell her to diffuse it. Actually, I am not crazy about how she styles it (to be fair part of it is that they use Aveda products which do not work for my hair). However, my hairstylist is great at cutting long layers (and many hairstylists aren't good at cutting layers at all!
) and her prices are really reasonable, so I just accept it. I can always restyle my hair at home, plus the other hairstylists in the area are horrendous (personal experience). I'm more concerned about the cut than I am about the overall look since my hair tends to curl differently after each wash. The right cut helps enhance my waves and curls. The wrong cut makes me look like I have just stuck my fingers in the electric socket.
