Griseofulvin is really the best treatment for tinea capitis (ringworm of the scalp). It's an oral medication that is best absorbed when taken with something fatty, like milk. Her pediatrician should be able to prescribe the medication if it's necessary. If you are unable to take her to a healthcare provider for a prescription then you can also try blue star ointment. But I would get it accurately diagnosed by a hcp first
