Ugh, yes! I know what you mean. Every time I try coconut oil...disaster! Even in small amounts. It makes my hair so stringy and greasy.

However, I did find one use for it. I mix it with my shampoo to make it less drying. Now my shampoo doesn't strip as much, and the oil leaves it moisturized but not a grease pit.

To get rid of what's in your hair, do an apple cider vinegar rinse. Those things will save your life when it comes to getting build-up out. Once you do one, your hair will be able to start from scratch.

When it comes to Shea Moisutre, my hair hated it too. I only used it once or twice. I would keep wit the KCKT, though. That stuff is awesome! I dnt know about the ABBA shampoo, but I have heard good things. Here is what I would do...

-Do a deep treatment with mayonnaise. Pour some mayo on your head and leave it on for about 20 min and relax. (mayo treatment optional)
-Shampoo your hair.
-Do an apple cider vinegar rinse. (I out 1/3 to 1/4 cup of ACV in a spray bottle
with 1 cup of water and spray my hair with a few sprays to get the gunk out. This mix should last a few rinses.)
-Add some KCKT and air dry.

You can do that or you could just co-wash with KCKT for a while and use nothing but that.

HTH!
