1) +1 to the suggestions to make sure you are on the right dose for your thyroid condition.
2) Be very gentle with your hair. My curly hair journey started when my hair began thinning and my derm told me to stop blow drying, not brush it and be as gentle as possible with my hair.
3) My derm recommended Rogaine. When the foam came out I switched from Rogaine solution to the foam because my derm said it is much easier to use and he is right.
It is made for men at 5% but my derm said instead of using it twice a day, which is the recommendation for men, just use it once a day, to get about 2% which is the recommendation for women.
You do have to use it forever. It's expensive but it lasts a very long time. I couldn't open the generic version and brought it back to the store. They opened it and it spilled all over, so I just buy the Rogaine now. It hasn't changed the texture of my hair at all, and I haven't had any side effects. I really recommend it. Best of luck to you!
