I have 3c hair with tight macaroni curls and about shoulder length when the hair is curly and dry.
I dont blow dry ever because i want to minimize heatdamage as much as possible. But i take a shower with a sulfate shampoo to get as clean hair as possible, condition it, apply a bit argan oil to my soaking wet clean hair and let it airdry to the next day.
I usually use about an hour to flat iron my hair because a have really curly macaronihair. I section the hair in 16 and brush every section seperately to get really straight and smooth hair. I currently use a herstyler flat iron which has 275 degrees heat and it actually works on my 3c macaroni hair but the cones with this is that you cant adjust the heat and it was really pricy....
