I may give non-dairy milk a go just to see, although I still haven't even made a smoothie yet but I have some fruit that needs using up so I'll do it today. Maybe

Edit: I made a smoothie but used some orange juice instead of milk. I only put in half a banana and it's still banana-ery. Good though.
