Kathy, what jellys do you use? I just started CG and have to find some curl friendly products. Gels don't work for me, they give me frizz, and creams don't give enough hold. A natural jelly seems like a happy medium
I also have normal porosity, and I don't know about elasticity. Its pretty thick and mid back length, but the actual strands are somewhere between fine and coarse.
