Well, foie gras being unethical is debatable, so that one is controversial, but I wouldn't say it's weird not to eat it precisely because it's such a controversial one. Endangered fish or fish that can kill you, I find most people fall on the "not eating" that side.
I eat seasonally and I'm pretty strict about that (when it comes to how I purchase food). That might be out of the norm for a lot of people, but I don't consider that "weird" because it's about supporting small farms, sustainability, getting the best quality, and adjusting to changing seasons, and it's also a food movement that many others support. So, it's not some arbitrary thing like "I only eat this food for breakfast".
I guess I saw this more as food quirks?
