I've found a reasonably priced (for me) umbrella type that reclines 120*. Does that sound flat enough? It's not a full 180, but looks like it'd be pretty comfortable.
I'm glad to hear the responses on the convertible car seats. I haven't heard any positive opinions on them from others who I've told about my plan!
