I'm also going to go for it.

And in the response to Amneris's post....really? You guys got from that discussion of "There isn't consistency with the moderation of racist/sexist/homophobic slurs" that we were asking for more moderation across the board, that we all wanted every little thing nitpicked? We want every post with a swear word closely moderated because everyone on curl talk suddenly has infant eyes and ears and can't handle the swearing that they hear in real life on a regular basis? How did you guys come to THAT conclusion? No one said, "PLEASE MODERATE US MORE! WE NEED YOUR GUIDANCE ABOUT ALL THE THINGS!" We said, "Come on now, people are getting away with saying racist/sexist/homophobic things, and we're getting trouble for calling them on it? Why not moderate that!" Now we have a board where the smallest things are being nitpicked, and it really seems like you are just putting a bandaid on bigger issues. The answer to Amneris's post shows that the mods, in general, missed the point, big time.

All the babysitting... that's just frustrating. For example, a thread where discussion was changing because that's what threads do, a mod came in and told us to stay on topic, even though there was no inappropriate behavior coming from the way the discussion was turned. Since when do the mods feel like they need to come in and bring us all back to a conversation that we've moved on from so we can "stay on topic"?
