Anyone have any suggestions (other than the super expensive Vitamix or Blendtec models).

Thanks.
I've been using this kalorik blender from target $59 and it blends my greens, berries and ice down to a smooth texture. I'm sure it's probably not as perfectly smooth as if I used a vitamix or blendtec, but it's smooth and tasty enough for me. My kids approve too which is saying a lot.
Does it handle frozen things well?

Curse you iPhone!!!!
Yes, I blend fresh and frozen fruit, ice and greens including the tougher ones like kale and my smoothies are smooth. I make sure I add enough water or liquid and I pulse it a couple of times before blending.
