My hair is 3A and at the moment reaches halfway down my back. It's been this long since forever..
For ages now I've really really really wanted to cut it shorter because it's really annoying me but I'm not sure if that would work with my hair type. I'm thinking something like this :

I'd be willing to straighten it but just wondering would this style work with curly hair too or would my hair just go POOF?
Everyone always tells me how beautiful my hair is now and to never cut it but that makes me want to cut it even more :O| I'm tired of being defined by my hair. Anyway, sorry for all this babbling, basically what I'm looking for is your opinions on whether this style would work or not and if anyone has done anything similar, please share your story with me!! :O)
