This is a picture of a section of hair after putting mayo in it. I left it in for 45 mins then washed and let air dry, no products. It smelled terrible but my hair is super soft. I don't know if mayo is more like a DT or PT, but it worked.
When I apply products I put them in soaking wet hair, then blot dry just until its not dripping, and put up in a plop usually, or just diffuse. I always have to diffuse if I don't plop at night, because I don't have time to air dry in the morning and can't stand to go out with wet hair. I do pixie diffuse, but still it gets less defined.
I read through all the info on LCLF about hair properties and I guess that's what I just decided mine was. I never had it died or permed or anything like that, and rarely straightened or curled it. Thats why I thought low porosity, but I guess I could be wrong about that.
When I ran my finger up the hair shaft like on the site, it was mostly pretty smooth but not perfectly. For elasticity, my hair doesn't stretch, just snaps.
ACV rinse really did help with the greasiness in my hair, and I used loreal sulfate free after some cones.
Lcl, my hair is exactly like you described when I have products in. I think it must be over conditioned, at least with products in because the part I put mayo in is really soft and smooth. Still frizzy, but hey... No products.
I'm thinking about a cut just below my shoulders, right now my hair is about BSL. Maybe that would help with curl.
I've heard some other curlies talking about Darcy Botanicals earlier, so of course I'll at least look them up now
ETA: Where can I buy apricot oil? Does it have to be online? I'm fed up with shipping.
