Do you think this is something that will solve itself as my hair adjusts? Or do you think this might be a case of needing a stronger base? My hair was cut and layered when I was still wearing it straight, so maybe that's the problem?
It looks really good, but yes, you could use a stronger base. Next time ask her to drop out the bottom layers to leave more weight at the bottom. It is definately a problem that occurs when wet cutting or cutting the hair while straight. Dry curl cutting gives me a better visual and more control over how much I take out. Exactly what Struttswife was talking about when she said 45 degree angle.
