Anyway, I just re-started a few days ago. I do it on and off (on when I actually care about my hair--I plan on doing this permanently now). I have really oily hair normally, and at first my hair just seemed to be getting grosser and greasier. I actually had a small freak-out when I realized that my fine, 3a curls were so gross they had turned into oily, limp waves. Bleh.

But today I used a "cleansing conditioner" and mixed it with baking soda and my hair bounced right up again. My mother told me I should not use a leave-in conditioner. My hair, although somewhat damaged from coloring, benefits more from overnight coconut oil that I can rinse out with conditioner the next day than leave-in stuffs. I am looking forward to my hair getting more tightly curled, since that is what it has been doing. It's been drinking the coconut oil, I think

Good luck. We'll see where this co-washing brings us.
you're like me, I always do this then stop then start again. I'm trying to do this permanently now. well at least for the summer haha. I'm in my adjustment period right now, which usually lasts me a good month or more. my hair's just up & down. but for the OP, just expect your hair to be greasy, feel limp, you might feel like it's worse on CG, you might even have a hair melt down lol. it's just a part of the adjustment period & it will most likely prove worth it!

fine bleached 2a/3b hair that doesn't actually curl, it's just like an S shape that just gets tighter. sometimes some of it curls underneath though.
