Yes, this is the case for me too. My ringlets are more define with length, and no matter how long ( or short) my hair is, I don't get a lot of root curl. I've also noticed that I don't get a lot of shrinkage either - even my curliest ringlets are sort of naturally elongated. I think this may be because I'm more a mix of 2c and 3a curls.
