does this mean that something you type here could be shared on other social media? where will it be shared and will it be linked to me or the person who shares it?

i started on here well before facebook and twitter and i've shared lots of things over the years. most of it is not overly personal but some things have been but it's been okay because i was always semi-anonymous and amongst my web friends who have a common interest here. does this share feature totally take that away? will what we type end up anywhere? i'm not on twitter but i know people can re-tweet if something shows up on twitter.

i just want to know because it will impact what i post and comment on.
