The regular LJ gel made my hair fragile and break. I liked it waaay back in the day though (like 1990) because all my friends were using it and I wanted to be like everyone else. But that stuff was terrible in my hair. I'm actually quite surprised I tried this custard. I like it but it is certainly not for everyday use. Also a LI is a must underneath it for me. When I tried it without a LI my usual soft, moisturized hair was superdry and rough!
