Sebum is the natural oil your body produces. Jojoba is supposed to have similar properties to sebum, (they are both very waxy) but it's not the same. Jojoba oil doesn't decrease the oiliness of hair, like any other oil.
I love deep conditioning with coconut oil. I think deep conditioning with a penetrating oil like coconut or argan is more effective for hair health than deep conditioning with a less penetrating oil like olive or jojoba. Though I love using olive oil as a leave in on dry hair to reduce frizz and enhance shine.
After the deep oil treatment, I generally have to wash and rinse a few times to remove the excess. Maybe you just have to wash more than once?
2c/3a-M-ii porous, good elasticity, APL, dark brown with a silver lining. Biggest enemy: frizz!
