I love romance and erotica if it's well written. It doesn't have to be amazing literary prose, but complete sentences, correct comma placement, and spell check go a loooong way.

To be frank, I can see a lot of women identifying with this twit Ana and that's the main reason these books are selling. I think even today in 2012 a lot of women are much less evolved than they like to pretend..as far as in intimate relationships with men. So the fact that it was poorly written doesn't amount to much on that front.

I recently read "Bared To You". It's somewhat similiar to 50 Shades and will be a trilogy as well. It's much better written by a seasoned writer: Sylvia Day. It's pretty intense and I'd say if a person is triggered by sexual abuse issues they should avoid it. I'm hoping the other 2 books will be good. People are getting pissy about it though because they are saying it's a 50 Shades rip off (it's not but typical from fans that have eaten that book with a spoon). The lead female character is annoying (I guess in that endearing way..LOL) but no where near as bad as Ana...yet.
You know that I'm getting that book now. Marah always reads the good stuff

But really the female lead is terrible. Weak, idiotic, vapid, and downright stupid. And that's just the 1st chapter. If that is a representation of women then how low have we fallen to enjoy such dribble.
