Part of the curly girl method is eliminating silicones from your styling products. Silicones can build up in the hair and can only be removed by stronger cleansers with sulfates, which are drying to the hair. Build up can cause frizz, dryness, and other issues if it is not removed.

I know that the Catwalk product contains silicones and I believe others on your list may as well. Be sure to check ingredients carefully and avoid those ending in cone, ane, or onol
