Amplifier contains cyclomethicone. According to the Curl Chemist article, cyclomethicones evaporate off of the hair during the drying process and therefore do not build up. Because of the evaporation process, some people will notice that their hair might feel slightly dry or more textured, but this will resolve the next time the hair is wet and/or cleansed. You can also refer to the What's the Scoop on Silicones article where the table lists conditioner washing and other gentle surfacants as a means to deal with cyclomethicone.
