Have you tried other oils besides coconut and had bad experiences? I have fine, thin hair too & my experience with grapeseed oil was such a disaster I've been terrified to try anything else. Maybe I just used way too much. What kind of shampoo did you use to wash it out with? What is it about coconut oil that seems to work so well for many people?

 fine, thin, normal porosity. Non-CG, but I treat it with TLC. I can't co-wash more than 1x a week, & I have to use T-Gel in rotation due to scalp issues.
