Got 10+ inches chopped off!
So I must spread the blame for this one on a few of you, namely-goobernut, wavy wonder, dark waves.... just to name a few! I went and got my haircut into a bob with layers and I LOVE IT!!! I think she cut off over ten inches. I was seriously starting to feel like I was suffocating in my hair (Has anyone else feel like that? Like it is all incompassing and you can't get away from it?) I felt that way at night or most times of the day, and especially since it is getting warmer outside.
I will post pics tomorrow morning. Its straight now, but I can't wait to try it wavy..... stay tuned..

This!
It's the first time I've ever had hair below my collarbone, and I am well over 30. No one told me my hair would be like a giant monster perched on my head!

Thanks everyone! you made my day!
I went to a big family function last night and only one person i talked to even mentioned i got a haircut, and said, "oh, thats nice" in a way that you could tell they were looking for something nice to say... but couldn't find anything. but what can ya do in a family of straighties when you are the only wavy? the big style here is to straighten your hair and have a big poof in the back .... I never thought it looked good and i never throught that style would last 15 years. who knew?
sorry for the rant! but that is why it means so much for all your comments! I really appreciate it! It is easier to stand on your own when there are people behind you somewhere if you know what i mean!
my routine:
I scrunch a ton in the shower with my head upside down when i put condish in and when i rinse it out. I try to stick to the ice queen method. I use the fsg, clip and diffuse till dry, unscrunch with hair butter.
I wash:
day one-shampoo bar
day two: water rinse
day three: co-wash or cowash with baking soda in it
start over
I always put in conditioner in after I wash my hair any of the previous ways.
Wavy wonder- thanks for the compliment on my color! I am a natural strawberry blond!
Thanks again guys! you are the best!

I'm late posting but your haircut looks so fabulous! That's exactly what I wish mine came out looking like! Love the color too.
