Well PT seems ok. My hair is softer. I used SM butter masque (cause you know... Sale) for the deep conditioner. It certainly didn't hurt anyway!! I used the Knox recipe.
I agree that if you have fine hair...you need some protein...my HG is Aubrey GPB...its the right balance of moisture/protein for my hair...and I have figured out...that what I use in the shower has a larger impact of my hair "behaving" then what products I use for stylers... also the more simple my routine of product usage is...the better my hair has behaved...kathymack educated me on this...how it's more crucial to find your hairs moisture/protein balance and then use a . More simple routine stylers...it took me few months to get brave enough to try this...I use to use 2-3different gels with a LI and some sort of cream/mousse styled...now I only use BBs styling mudd for my styler...that's it!!!

Yes I am still an imposter. No AMAZING improvements like I see on waiver people. And blown dry with no product or technique? You get this. Spin off thread: The wavy imposter, it is not just you.-imageuploadedbycurltalk1429464146.022868.jpg

Wow, Karen, that is amazing! and both look equally great!
Thanks Myrna. I vastly prefer even my minimal wave to this but it's raining and I haven't done this in forever. Decided to see how much "easier" it would be. It's not really.

had to bump this thread to post this picture. i was just browsing thru 'short curly hairstyles' on the internet and when i came across this picture (which i love) i immediately thought of you, chupie!
for the pasts few months my hair has been getting curlier and curlier, making it difficult to style as there are days when it is typical 3a hair. it's like lots of volume up at the root, but not curly, but not wavy....... so i've been wishing i had wavy hair.
having trouble posting it, i'll keep trying.

Would love to see it. Yeah. I can't say as mine gets waiver at all. And right now I think I am in need of layering big time. Hoping to get a Deva cut come time next month.

short curly hairstyles

for some reason i have now seem unable to attach thumbnails. i have done it with the old website design. hoping this works. if it doesn't, just put "short curly hairstyles" into google, then click on 'more mages.....' and it comes up in the first 2, 3 rows of photos, on the right side.

It does look super cute! Very much reminds me of the 90s hair styles (in a good way).

It is cute. Her hair is lighter/finer than mine? At that length everything except the ends wants to flip under.

maybe with the right cut it wouldn't flip out, but even if random strands did, as in the photo, i love that look.
LOL! you know every time i find a really cute hairstyle for my 3a hair, the model's hair is always fine. it's my belief that fine hair works best with any texture hair.

I'm definitely a "curly" 2c. Sometimes curly and sometimes just wavy upper layer with a ringlety under layer. My hair has been thick and coarse since birth. Strawberry blonde in color that can and does change depending on the type and amount of light.

All in all, I'm happy with my hair type but almost for sure think yours is prettier.

I'm a summer/high humidity 2a/2b
winter 1c(Fia's tying system)

My hair was straight with a body wave until about 14 (puberty) then it got much wavier/curly EVEN in a dry, southwestern climate. I'd say I was a 2C looking at the hairtyping model on this site.
then, in my early 20's it straightened out. Perhaps it was hormones or BCP's, later child bearing, don't know. However my 20's and 30's I thought I had straight hair. So I permed it (this was the 80's and 90's)sometimes I loved my perms, sometimes they were a fail, but at least I had body and volume, no flatness.
About 44 I stopped perming (because I started coloring to cover greys) and my hair started getting wavier. My mother says hers did the same thing. Hormones again I believe. I also moved to an upper Midwest climate that has hot humid summers, and cold winters.
Although I have more wave(2b) in the summers, I still have some wave even in colder weather here. However when I visit my relatives in the desert Southwest, my hair starts to fall flat and straight if I don't seriously do things to get the wave faction going. It's the 8% humidity there- so it needs moisture, curl enhancing products(hence my question in another thread) to the max.
So for me, hormones, and climate have had an impact.
As Lorraine Massey says in her CG book, I need length, at least Shoulder length, to get the wave faction going. When I cut short bangs they are fairly straight.
In high humidity and with the right products, technique, I can even get a couple of ringlets going in the front though, it's rare.
I've never known anyone else with hair like mine until I found this forum-that varies so much with climate. My oldest son, brother and nephew went curly at puberty, too (3A)
My oldest son, now in his early 20's, is starting to straighten out again, but my brother and nephew stayed curly(3A's)
