Default New Mexico's Heat/What products to use?

I'm moving from Florida to New Mexico and I'm telling to get an idea of what type of products I need to use once I'm down there.

My hair is
3a, more ringlets in the middle, thick, fizz on top but no where else, respond well to most cg products.

I'm using
deva one condish
curls cream brule
curls creamy curl cleanser
deva arch angel
l.a sports gel
and for the bottom layers
flax seed gel

will I need all these products once im down there?
and i use so much gel on my hair because it tends to lay flat on the bottom layers but with some flax seed and l.a sports gel it set to go.

just wondering from what i have read that new mexico will dry out my hair if I do not moisturize my hair. Will these products dry my hair once I am down there?

thanks

Hey there! I can already tell you I'm not going to be much help, but I'm in New Mexico so I wanted to say welcome!! Hmmm lets see if I can attempt to help... I have 2c dry porous hair, and I've lived in New Mexico all my life. I think Florida's much more humid?? There's hardly any humidity in New Mexico, so that may cause some extra dryness to your hair. That may cause your hair to loose volume too, cause when I'm somewhere humid my hair puffs up for sure. Aahhh I'm not sounding very encouraging am I? I use very moisturizing products, Jessicurl Too Shea, CJDF, CJCCCLite, and my hair isn't overly dry. I don't know I actually like my hair better here vs. somewhere with humidity, so maybe you'll feel the same!
I hope someone jumps in with more advice! Lol I'm kind of a newbie and am in the process of experimenting new products and techniques myself.

Hi there! I know this thread is a few years old, but I'm headed to Las Cruces for a 4th of July wedding and was wondering if you ever figured out a good New Mexico hair routine? TIA!

I'm in NM too, and you're so right the one above who posted about losing volume. I go back home to WISconsin, and they ask if I"ve lost hair, no I'm just in a dry climate and have lost volume. Finding products is very hard. too much washing makes your scalp drier and more sensitive. So be careful with overdoing anything here.

Yes, since the air will be much dryer, maybe try heavier products and moisturizing more while you're there. If you fear a loss of volume, plan to wear cute updos!

Here's a tip if you're flying: The dry airplane cabin air + the dry air as soon as you step of the plane in New Mexico = not good! A good idea would be to apply some sort of hydrating cream while you're on the plane so that your hair doesn't get double zapped with dryness! I've heard great things about Phyto 7.
