You've all given me hope!
I love all these before after wavies (bumping for this reason!) I've been sulfate free for months. I've been using L'oreals line. When I air dry, I'm a 2A, but when I diffuse I'm a 2B (2C if I'm lucky). I just found this site this week, bought a cowash from the same line. I'm really wanting to branch out and find what will work best for me? Sorry, no before after pics yet! I've only been using my cowash for 2 days. Most of my befores I had also taken a curling iron to stubborn pieces of hair.
I'm so jealous of my boyfriend, he has 3A hair. It's so cute and curly on the top of his head. I'm hoping mine will at least start taming and not be so frizzy. When I reach that point (or any better point) I'm for sure posting in here! Hooray for giving hope to new-wavies!

My routine before CG was S & C with TONS of cones, drying with a terry cloth, brushing hair while wet and air-drying. I used to think I was a 1b:

I am tweaking my routine as I am still new to the CG method. Looking forward to see what my hair will do in the future!!

I can already tell a difference with my hair
I was already sulfate and cone free, but I switched to cowashing as well this week. The first picture is my hair Tuesday (the day before I started cowashing). Sorry if it's sideways.
The second picture is my hair after I diffused it this morning. I also have been "plopping." It's died down a bit, but I have hope that it will keep getting curlier! Look at that lack of frizz

I LOVE your second day hair!! Such pretty waves! I thought I was a 2A, but I think mine is transitioning to something more curly (like yours did!) Beautiful

My pretty waves severely wilted during the day. I think I might need to try plopping before and after diffusing. My color is wonky because I let my friend do ombre hair on it and she left the bleach on my ends longer than I would have liked. But that will be gone with a few trims I LOVE the darker color of yours!!
What do you guys do when your curls/waves wilt throughout the day? Do I just need to use more gel? I didn't use very much...

I use about a golf-ball sized dollop of gel in mine. (Sounds like a lot, I know.) I find that is the only way to get my waves to clump I like. Once my hair is dry, I "scrunch the crunch" out. No wet shinies and no flakes as long as I use L.A. Looks. I haven't had that much success with other gels - which is fine as L.A. Looks is *very* inexpensive.
Perhaps you could try washing at night plopping overnight? My waves love overnight plopping

Here's mine!
1st picture - before CG. I was using sulfate free poo due to scalp irritation, but still using cones. My hair was about waist length and pretty weighed down.
2nd picture - CG day 2. I had my hair cut a couple days before this to collar bone length and some long layers.
3rd picture - CG 1 month. This was about 1-2 weeks ago

I used to think my hair was just "frizzy straight," and that is when I had it in a bob that just wouldn't cooperate. The front would always flip out the wrong way, it was super coarse, and it was dry and frizzy. Of course, all I used was shampoo. I didn't even use conditioner until last year! haha
Well, I went CG off and on for a while, but I'd say I've been using CG products for about a year now. The first picture is when I straightened my hair, the second is when I just let it air dry, and the 3rd is from a few months ago(: It's gotten longer! I'm so happy. I haven't had my hair APL in so long, and I am loving my longer hair.
BTW, everyone's hair looks gorgeous!

So I have only been going at this for 9 days but I am so excited so far! And I just did a PT and can tell my hair LOVED it!
In the first pic it was right before I started CG and the second is just now 9 days later with my hair still a little damp
Can't wait to see this continue!!
