Anyone have a pixie cut? How would it look on me?

I have 2 hair provided I don't scrunch (first pic and most recent pic). If I scrunch I can easily get 3A hair (the third pic). I'm looking at maybe doing the second pic for a pixie-ish cut. Is this a bad idea? Will I end up with a fro? What if I brush it out as I dry it...does that even matter? I'm pretty conflicted, but I've always wanted a pixie cut. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

I don't have a pixie cut and have never had one, simply because I don't think I have the face for it. But I love most pixies, and I think you'd look great with one. I have 2 hair that I can make fairly curly or very straight--it's just versatile. If your hair is anything like mine, you won't have a fro if you don't do anything to coax the curl.

(When I was a kid it was a different story; I really did have a fro at age 2-3!)

Almost forgot: I have a friend who always wore her hair very much like yours in your third picture. She got a pixie cut and, with just a little gel, it was always straight and perfect.
Thank you Flossie! That's very encouraging! I do have hair that I can usually coax into whatever shape I want whether it be wavy or corkscrews, etc.

I think now is the perfect time. Between the pic in my avatar and the one in this thread I've lost about six pounds and thinned out my face some, so now I think it'll look better. Plus, I'll probably try to start having kids in the next year or so, so if I don't like it, it will hopefully grow back fast when I get pregnant.
I think you would look nice in a pixie. I had one in college, but finding the perfect cut is key. My best cuts came from a guy who rented this little booth in a sort of questionable place. LOL. He disappeared, and so did my good cuts.

One thing I know made me look better with a pixie is makeup, jewelry and pretty clothes, as in your second picture! Gorgeous! And a confident personality will really make you shine. I have to say that I got a lot of attention from guys in college when I had my hair really short.

One major bonus, though is that a new hair cut is always 3 or 4 weeks away if something isn't exactly to your liking.

If you live in a cold climate, be prepared for a bit of shock when the extra insulation is cut off. LOL. Cary some scarves or pashminas with you for extra comfort.

Thank you! That second picture is really what I'm going for. I think it'll work best with my hair type. I may even dye my hair back jet black like in my avatar. My roots are starting to show, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to go back to black or not. Maybe with the new cut.
Here it is ladies!!!!

I really like it! She did end up flat ironing it, but it took all of 5 minutes to dry and 2 minutes to flat iron!

And she did it curly for me before flat ironing, and it still looks really cute curly as well! Thanks for the encouragement to try something new....I think it suits me nicely, and I welcome the simplified routine. If anyone has any product recs, I'm open.
You look totally adorable! And I'm glad that you are happy about it. I'm not sure what your natural color is...I'll have to look back at your first pics. Just like your haircuts will be more frequent, so will your coloring. Maybe that will help you decide whether to go jet black or not...

My husband would be sort of jealous if he saw your picture, because I had the pixie when we started dating.

I used to do all sorts of crazy things to get my hair to not be curly when I had the pixie. Now I wish I had known about the CG method...was it even around in the 1990's?

Anyway, post some more pictures when you style it curly. I'm really excited for you!

Fabulous cut. Very rock and roll. But I think you could fix it to look more sweet and innocent for days you want to be sweet. You definitely look like one of the cool kids.

Cool cut! How funny, I clicked on this thinking there was a wavy on MUA showing pics of her pixie cut, then clicked on it and saw it was the same person! What a coincidence. It looks beautiful.
It came out cute! You were asking on Fedora Lounge too. How are you going to style it for a vintage look?
it looks soooo cute, sooo CUTE.
I got a pixie cut last may and I really liked my hair when i first got it cut but the up-keep was tough. A haircut like that needs to be maintained and by maintained you probably need a cut every 4 weeks , MAYBE 6 , but that is stretching it.
I'm not in the process of growing mine out, uhhhh, not fun, not .fun.at.all.
You look awesome with the cut!!!

I love your new hair. I am growing my hair out from a pixie (It's now almost chin length.). I had a pixie in high school and for 3 years or so. I have wavy to curl hair too.
