Modified CG

Well, I can't be completely cg. I had to modify it a little. I guess the conditioners just built up on my hair. I don't use products all that often, I'm a sahm, but the last few days my hair felt EWWWW, sticky almost. So I clarified with Suave clarifying shampoo (1st shampoo in over a month) and it feels nice today. So I'll just keep an eye on it and clarify every once in awhile.

On a side note, I've tried my jessicurl stuff, and I think I'll like it, but I have to experiment more. I know I'll want the dt and ts though. I don't think I used enough product. I used two quarter sized piles of RR and one of CC with a little RR added to it. My hair is just past shoulder length but VERY Thick and VERY coarse, so I don't think I used enough. I'll let you know.

Looks like you and I have similar hair types. Is yours normally dry too? I found what works best for me is a low-poo - something organic or SUPER gentle - with a light conditioner that I can use as a leave in. I have to wash about every 2-3 days that way, but it keeps me from getting the build up I had with CO washing. Also, if you do a vinegar rinse instead of the shampoo it is still CG and gets that build up out.

Keep it up! It took me several months to find what worked best for me. Be glad, us SAHM have it easier than the girls that work out side the house. I'd have never made it! LOL!

OH yeah, it's dry, all the time lol! I have to condition condition condition! But I can't use extremely heavy stuff all the time or it weighs down my already heavy coarse thick hair! I can go about every other to every third day tops without at least CO, but I just tried the Jessicurl stuff I got and it's very low poo, so I could do that I think and be good, as long as it doesn't start me itching like before. I used to vinegar rinse all the time when I was using poo bars but don't anymore, I'll have to pick some up and do that. I'm sticking with it though. I've worked as a hairdresser outside the home and I'm very, very glad that although $ can be tight I'm home and don't have to work now. I do much better at home that is for sure! I stayed home for years before I went back to hairschool. It's definately better this way.
