The Lesser Evil

So I just realized a few days ago that my L'oreal Everpure has a non-water soluble 'cone in it. However, the rest of the product is sulfate-free. It got me thinking on what would the lesser evil be--a shampoo that is sulfate free but has a non water soluble 'cone in it OR a shampoo that has sulfate(s) in it but NO 'cones (Pantene Pro-V Color Protection).

I also just used Paul Mitchell Special Tea Tree Shampoo which also has sulfates but only water soluble 'cones in it. I am doing a sulfate wash once in a while now but don't want to strip my hair too much. I would love to get a 'poo that is both sulfate and 'cone free (I really wanna try Baby Bee Shampoo by Burt's Bees) but I am unemployed and can't buy any more products right now. Any thoughts, opinions or sugesstions are more than welcome!!! Hope I didn't hurt anyone's head with all this info!!!

I understand about the unemployment! Have that going on here with the hubby!
For me I would rather stay 'cone free than sulfate free but for me it's because I feel the 'cones killed my hair while straightening it and I need to let it all heal. I hate even using a water soluble one but I am using HETT which has one but it's working for now. Do what works the best for you and your budget. I can't buy anything over $5 and that's hard enough.

I still use Tresemme Fine Mist hairspray for the side swept bangs...I can't live without it!

Yeah being unemployed is NOT fun for all kinds of reasons!!! I guess until I can afford something I might just switch on and off between the two and see what happens.

The only thing bad about cones is that sulfates is the best way to remove them and sulfates strip the hair of natural oils. (also cones are too heavy for some fine hair) I think your routine is fine now. Some cones in the everpure, which has cleansers that should be able to remove some cones anyway. And you do an occasional sulfate shampoo that will get them all off your hair. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Thanks Ped! Yeah I think I'll just continue my routine and if anything extreme happens then I can change it.
