Hello beautifuls... question about ugly wave pattern, check out the pic

I am having trouble figuring out my properties. All I know is that it's fine and very color treated and gets weighed down easily. Right now I am just using the deva care producst, no-poo, one condition, and angel
Fine hair usually loves protein. And color treated hair is often dry and porous. My hair always looked like a haystack in my blond days before CG. Protein & moisture are your best friends.

My hair is very fine but super-thick; even so, I had issues with stringlets at first. I recommend the Icequeen method for good clumping. I find that good clumps make even lazy waves look a lot better. (In the General Discussion forum, there is a "sticky" thread that has all the techniques in there, including Icequeen method so go check that out).
2a/b right now; 2c when it's longer
Fine/iii density/high porosity

Current favorites:
Suave Naturals Coconut co-wash
GVP Protein Restructuring Conditioner
GVP Conditioning Balm
Eco-Styler, LALSG, BRHG, Garnier Curl Shaping Spray Gel
ACV rinse 1x per week
@Mountaincurl: I think your hair is beautiful! I wish I had those curls like your pic.

Could it be that "our" hair is too thin? Even when I plop it comes out curly but really stringy...

Any suggestions?

**Thanks Peda I actually realized that I have to comb my products through. I wasn't doing that hence the frizzyness. Also, I pixie diffused and it's turning out great...Now if only I can find the right products!

We are all much harsher critics of ourselves. I like your waves, I would like to get mine to look as even as yours.

I do think that looking at the pics and regimes of others on the board sometimes leads me to be frustrated with my hair. My hair is a lot finer and less curlly than most of the posters, even on the 2 board. I try to take it all in and just take a day or two a week to "experiment".

Some things that i have learned here that do work for me.....
I comb through my products after applying them with a wide toothed brush (like a Denman but wooden). I can't plop, it doesn't work for me. I scrunch both with my hands and with a microfiber towel. I diffuse to about 70-80% dry, holding my hair in a bowl diffuser. I can't used a pomade-too heavy. Usually I SOTC and then put a little bit more of whatever styled I used mixed with a drop of water to run over any flyways.

Using FIA: 2b/2a mix with a few ringlets in the canopy, straighter in the under layer by my neck. Thin in density, fine strands. Normal porosity. Hennaed.
