Default Haircut!!!

So I'm getting a hair cut on Thursday and I am super excited!!!! I'm thinking of trying out an inverted bob and will continue to grow out my bangs. Right now, my hair is BSL but it just gets really scraggly as it gets longer. Plus, I need a change and I've seen so many pics of inverted wavy/curly bobs, I'm dying to try it!

To you lovely wavy ladies with inverted bobs, is there anything special I should ask my stylist to do or NOT to do? I'm thinking of going an inch or 2 above my clavicle (collar bone) to start with. I dont' wanna go TOO short since my waves don't start till a couple inches from my roots. Any advice or tips would be super helpful!!!

When my hair is short I lose all spirals (the few i have to begin with!) and the wave is much less apparent. I wanted more body and volume so she cut a lot of layers. I would say mine is a funky bob since the ends were not cut blunt - they flick out easily (I didn't want a lot of weight at the bottom).

If you want to maintain a more evenly curled bob, I think you need something like a straight up traditional bob with the layers tighter. Inverted, you with might have some stacked layers in the back if you take it short enough. A few years ago I had mine done that way with only a subtle inverted angle.

This month I chopped off a lot of my hair. I initially thought I wanted an inverted bob but I think I wound up with a regular bob with lots of layers. I love it!!! I think it makes me look younger because my hair seems so much healthier.

Thank you so much! I love it!

I was a bit apprehensive when I came out of the salon because it turned out shorter than I expected. I brought this picture with me as a reference. I went to a super cheap $5 haircut place. Good luck with your cut and post pics after please!

Wow!!! I can't believe you got such an amazing haircut for so little!!! That is really awesome. I just got back from the salon and I loooooooooooooooove my new 'do!!! It's a slightly inverted bob (not too dramatic in the back) and chin-length. It looks like I have so much more hair now! I'll post some pics soon. Right now, it's blown out but I'll also post a pic of when I wash it and get it back to wavy.

Hippiechic -- Your new cut looks great, even blown out!! Awesome hair! I just recently got about an inch cut off of my hair and some layers put in, and it looks so much nicer, but I really want to go back and get it cut shorter now that summer is right around the corner! It's mid back length right now, and I just want to take some weight off. All of your pics are really inspiring!!!
