New here! I think I'm a 2a...

Hi! I am new here and am conflicted on if I am a 2a or 3a.
I have fine hair but lots of it. The longer it is the wavier it is but when its shorter its more 3a like. I always thought I was more curly than wavy but after reading the descriptions and seeing pictures I think I am more 2a. I thought I'd ask some wavy girl experts! Thanks!

*poof* pics are gone. I realized this board is searched by google!

Thank you!

Too cute! All of them.
Pretty color, pretty wavy curls. Wavy curls stay close to the scalp... where it's safe! Although you can teach them to go a little wild.
Fine hair is possibly your most troublesome thing to deal with, your hair looks healthy, shiny and I love the color. I know, I wrote that twice.

Welcome wavy!

Hi IAgirl! I am in Iowa!

Thanks for the compliments. My hair is naturally black but I have to dye it because I've had silver 'highlights' since high school that are now full fledged pure white for most of my hair, so I think it makes my hair a little saturated in color. But other than that I rarely heat style so it is in pretty good condition.

I definitely want to start the CG method to make it in even better condition!

Thanks for the welcome!
I'm a terrible curl typer, so I can't help you there. Just wanted to say Hi and Welcome.

I'm kind of like you, I have curls below my shoulders, and even above, but my hair either spirals or waves from roots to ears, it doesn't hold a nice, round curl until it's free from my head. Thus I consider myself a "wavy." Mostly because I find the most relevant info. here on the wavy boards.
These people *just get my hair.*

Anyway, hi! Your hair is super pretty and shiny, especially for someone who isn't CG (most of us had terrible hair history before our "CG revelations")! Your hair is lovely, and welcome to the 2 boards! I do believe you belong with us!

Thanks WavynWild! My hair is in good condition because i never do anything to it. lol My ultimate goal is to be able to wash my hair and wear and look fabulous with no work whatsoever. Some days that happens other days not so much. It goes in a pony tail every other day it seems.

I want to start the CG method, but I am worried because I have hard water so i am going to have to do some sulfates to get that stupid hard water out. I've read up on the shower head filters but right now that is not in the budget. My hubby isn't working right now so we are in the negative each month as it is. I'm going to slowly switch to CG as I run out of my other products. Of course I never waste shampoo or conditioner when it doesn't work (i am constantly trying to find something that moisturizes but doesnt weigh down my hair). Conditioner is way better for shaving than even gel shaving cream and shampoo makes awesome body wash. lol

Meanwhile I love that you girls have your products in your signatures!

Thanks again!

You're welcome! I used to think that my hair could be perfect with no work, too -- even though I am Mod-CG, that never really happened, although it's a lot healthier now!

I know, I like reading people's siggies, too. Finding out what products they use really helps me! Sometimes it's just fun, too.
