Ecostyler (?) **UPDATE

I see 4 diff. kinds in the website. Which one do you gals use (recommend)? I'd like to give this a try soon:

Sally Beauty Supply

Also, I read many of you apply BHRG after, can I do the same w. any other type of Gel such as HETT which is what I have?

Thanks for all your tips.

UPDATE:

After having combed my leave-in, I applied then let it air-dy (not a good idea, it had definition but lots of frizz) then I tried the same thing all over, but this time I applied HETT for hold and voila! It worked and looked great all day and today is my second hair day I really like this product.

Glad I found a product that works and helps out with my routine

If your normal gel is HETT, I'd guess you would not need a gel after. For you, this may be a curl enhancer and gel in one.
The only one I've ever used is the ecostyler Kryastal. The protein one is good if you have hair that likes daily protein. (duh, right) The olive oil one would add more moisture, but I know it would make my hair oily to add a styling product with oil.
Ecostyler Krystal has glycerin. Does glycerin work with your hair in Florida? Some people can do glycerin in humidity and some can't.
By the way, Ecostyler is an HG for me. It is a magic clump maker.

2a (nc.com) 2bFi (Fia), very fine, thin, low/normal elasticity, porous, CG, doesn't get weighed down
Cowash: Tresemme naturals
Rinse out/leave in: Renpure Organics (red)
Curl enhancer: FSG
Gel: BRHG, Salon care aloe, Ecostyler Krystal (normal dews)
PT: ION effective care, IAgirl's gelatin PT
Low Poo: renpure (red), Ion swimmers
Thanks for the info...I have no idea what works for me yet or what oils or product my hair likes...still learning and it's getting to be a bit frustrating ...

The thing with HETT is that it leaves my hair very stringy and HARD, even if I plop...check it out:

See major difference from what I did last night...

Ecostyler is so cheap and versatile that I think you should try it. I like the Super Protein version the best but I've also tried Krystal and Argan Oil.
I've only used the Krystal version and really like it.

Sent from my iPhone using CurlTalk

I scrunch it into wet hair in the shower after applying a leave in.

Oh, let us know how it works! I've been eying the EcoStyler gels very closely. I really want to get one, but do they all have protein? I'm finally learning to listen to my hair and I'm trying to back off the protein. I think my hair would love the "oil" ones -- it hasn't met an oil it hasn't liked, as of yet! Does it have good hold, or is it soft holding?
Type 2c/3a with lots of hair and a super sensitive scalp! Med/slightly coarse texture, low porosity and elasticity.

Favorite...
Low poo: Organix TTM, Essential Wholesale Free & Clean
RO/LI: TN, GFTN, YTC
Stylers: EcoStylers, GF Curl Shaping Gel, Aussie Aussome Volume Mousse & Instant Freeze Gel, GFPC, LALNC, La Bella Lots of Curls, Apricot Oil, KMFUM, AO B5DG
Extras: sugar scrubs, AVG washes, pre-poos with EVCO, oiling scalp before washes, plopping, gelatin PT.
Mod-CG since 12/1/10!
I have the Ecostyler Krystal version and can't decide if I like it or not. It does really help with clumps but I feel like I get massive build up from it. It just feels really plasticky and goopy.
Coarse texture, normal-high porosity, normal elasticity (Komaza Care), very weak waves
cleanser: Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo, CJ Daily Fix

rinse out: GVP Conditioning Balm, CJ Repair Me, CJ Smoothing

jellies/creams: CR Curl Maker, KCCC, UFD Curly Magic
gels: CJ CQ, BRHG

I bought the krystal version last night and didn't realize it had wheat protein in it until after I got home, but it didn't seem to bother my hair at all.

I actually really liked the texture of it too, it felt like it was easier to distribute through my hair than other gels I've been using! After reading another thread, I mixed about a half-dollar amount with about a dime size of CJ CIAB for each side and the back of my head and the combo gave me really soft, shiny, and defined waves!! I even defused my hair before bed since it was really wet--which usually gives me a lot of surface frizz--but it wasn't nearly as bad as it usually is!

I am worried that the protein will be too drying since my hair is on the coarser side, but right now I really like it!
