Default Favorite Lo-Poo?

I think the Giovanni 50/50 shampoo I've been using is contributing to my itchy scalp and dry hair. I usually only shampoo twice a week, but it's more like every 2 to 3 days during the summer (I live in Texas - lots of sweating!). When I first went CG 2+ years ago Giovanni 50/50 was what everyone was using - what is new since then (preferably that I can get at Target or Sally's)?

Several of the Giovanni shampoos have changed but I have shared and shared that. It contains C14 16 Olefin Sulfonate. One of the HARSHEST surfactants. I guess since it is not called a sulfate people do not believe nor understand. Here is an article:
(Go to page 2) http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlreading/curly-hair-care-methods/no-poo/curlchemist-what-makes-a-cleansing-ingredient-more-harsh-or-more-gentle?page=2

I have had great success with Abba Color Protection Shampoo and also now in LOVE with Hugo Naturals Volumizing shampoo in Vanilla and Sweet Orange (at Whole Foods or similar).

Oh, girl, I did not mean that you did not see the posts. They were months ago! I just am surprised that people keep using this since the formula change, with such a harsh cleanser and all the posts about dry and tangled hair!

I know some others have had success with Queen Helene Mint Julep shampoo at Sally's but I have not gotten to that one yet so cannot comment from my own experience.

I really loved Organix Shea Butter as my low poo. It's not "new," but it's a fairly popular drugstore brand. The fragrance made me itchy, so I had to stop using it, but it was awesome! It felt nice and moisturizing and rich and creamy, and it had a nice little lather. Some people also like the Renpure Organics shampoos, which you can also get at the drugstore. I think the red one is pretty popular!

It took me AGES to find a low-poo that didnt leave me dry and tangly. My two favorites are MOP C Hydrating and Devacurl LowPoo. I'm out of my MOP C at the moment so I've been using the Deva, and for whatever reason My hair LOVES it! I could probably comb through my wet hair after rinsing LowPoo without conditioner (not that I would... but still...)
These are the only two I've found that worked well enough for me. I also love CJ Daily Fix, but I personally think of that as a no-poo because it is just so creamy and awesome, yet cleans as well as a low-poo

Oh thats a great one too!!! I LOOVE the smell
I actually use it when I give my little Boston Terrier a bath too, it doesnt dry out her sensitive skin like the traditional doggy shampoos do.

My hair likes the DevaCare Low Poo, like Luckycharm it feels like I could nearly just detangle after rinsing it out, before conditioning. It's kind of amazing in that way and does seem to make the hair clean enough. I have tried the Giovannis, Mastey Traite, Daily Fix and the CJ Low-poo but the DevaCare wins in my hair, and it's available in big whompin' quart bottles on Amazon.
