I got razored. ugh... need advice

I got my ends 'dusted' locally 3 weeks ago this Tuesday. I didnt have the best experience, especially after the stylist had an idea of his own to take a RAZOR to de-bulk my hair with out discussing it with me. The HORROR that over came me is another story... the actual shape is passable. Although I do have some more crazy individual strands, my ends are already looking a little straggly, and I've noticed quite a few split ends .
I normally try to wait 8 weeks between cuts, especially since I'm trying to grow it out at the moment. I know I wont be able to wait my usual 8 weeks this time.
I have 2 stylists I trust, one does a wet cut but understands my hair really well and I've never had a bad curly cut from her. The other is a Deva stylist who does a fantastic dry cut, again, I've always been happy with her work. I'm debating which one to see to correct this cut, a wet cut might be a good clean slate to grow out a bit, but a Deva cut really does help my wave... although I'm a little concerned that some might be missed with a dry cut since they dont seem to cut ALL the hair, just what needs shaping.
Looking for advice/ideas! What would YOU do in this situation? Wet cut? Deva cut? Leave it the hell alone for once?

Girl. My stylists all have gotten an education (lecture) before my cuts which includes, "you will not touch my hair with a razor".

I would be inclined to get correction. Razoring and texturizing is destructive to our waves and curls.

I'd go to either. Someone you trust who can cut off the thinned spaces so that you can get some good curls back.

Ugh...sorry for your experience. I agree with JaJC, I'd opt to fix it. I understand the not wanting to cut because you are growing it out. I have been growing my hair out for four years. My last cut gave me a gap in the perimeter of my hair that made me have to cut off an inch to fix it. Set me back six months.

So sorry, LuckyCharm. I know your hair is a lot like mine and razoring is disasterous for me; I cannot imagine. I'd call the guy up and tell him you are having split ends - I don't think they are normal for our kind of hair, that has to be the razoring - and frizz from his haircut, and that you love the color but will never come back to him, and why.

And, me personally, if I liked the shape I'd probably go in myself and try to blunt the pointy hairs for now, unless it's really most of the hair that he did.

I do think some stylists can do cuts with razors that work OK on some sorts of curly hair at least for a little while, but it's damaging and not sustainable.

Ack. I am outraged on your behalf. I do not think that he should have razored if you asked him not to, even if he DID think it would work.

Wow, can you say JERK! Arrogant, self-important one too. Or did you just catch him on a really bad day? No matter!
Were it me, I'd trim the ends in the shape of the cut (you've got a template) with sharp scissors to save money for a stylist with better people skills.
