I thought I was doing so well because I finally figured out a routine for myself and what products work well for me but this last week I feel like I'm de-gressing instead of PRO-gressing!! Here's what I've been doing including the products I've been using

1)Shampoo and condition (RO) with L'oreal Everpure
2) After I turn off the shower water, I scrunch my hair gently with my microfiber towel to get some of the excess water out
3) Then I scrunch in about a dime size amount of Styling Mudd and let it be for a few minutes
4) I do a quick Super Soak and scrunch in another dime size amount of Mudd then spray a little bit of Suave Captivating Curls Spray Gel more towards the top of my hair for volume
5) I pixie diffuse for about 15 or so (never timed it) minutes then clip and let it air dry for a half hour
6) Then I use just a tiny bit of LOOB to "tweak" my waves and pixie for a nother few minutes

This has been working for a while but now especially today it hasn't. I've been doing 2x weekly PTs and I did sulfate wash today. Could it be the weather going from cold to warm to cold again? Any tips/suggestions/advice are MUCH appreciated!! I'm so sad 'cause I thought I was finally getting some actual waves

Yes the goofy weather has me messed up too! Since I chopped my hair last yr I have had a heck of a time with it. It has grown out some, to an inch or so from my collar bone, now I am getting better waves.

I have been trying to play up volume and uniformly "fat" whurls rather than try to get stronger curls. So I have been trying to do the opposite of what most curlies do in my styling. Kind of like Seinfeld where George does everything opposite of his instinct!!!!

Using FIA: 2b/2a mix with a few ringlets in the canopy, straighter in the under layer by my neck. Thin in density, fine strands. Normal porosity. Hennaed.

Go To's: Aveda, Lush
I had to shelve the LOOB and re:coil until spring. I finally realized that our dews are in the teens again so changed the routine up.

Mix of 2s med-low porosity, med-fine texture, lots of hair
Well, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one!!!!!!!! Maybe I'll keep the LOOB just for doing twists and updos, etc.

I haven't had many waves since the weather changed. Today I did a PT and followed with a leave in and curls with a bottle and it was better. Or I've been using cheap drugstore gel figuring at least I won't be frizzy. Maybe take a few days off from your products?
It could be your products. Have you been using them for awhile? Maybe you could try a few different things like a new conditioner and stylers to rotate in!
Coarse texture, normal-high porosity, normal elasticity (Komaza Care), very weak waves
cleanser: Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo, CJ Daily Fix

rinse out: CJ Beauticurls, CJ A&OO, CJ Smoothing

jellies/creams: Mop C, KCCC, SCE FSG
gels: CJ CQ, BRHG

I don't really have too many products I can rotate with...the products I was using have been working but maybe the weather is just messing with everything. The only things I have don't really work anymore......I have a mousse that I use only when I straighten (I tried it recently with wavy hair and it did NOT look good). I also have a Curls Cream but I think it's too hydrating. I've been doing regular PTs so it can't be that.........Aaarggh!!!!!

It could just be the weather - if its gotten cold/low dew point your wavies can get a little weaker. It's harder to keep moisture in your hair in the winter, and I think a lot of folks with a gentler wave patter may be almost straight in the winter.
Super wavy and wurly curly! Fiii, fairly non-porous, inelastic
Colorado Curly - low dew points & low humidity!
Organix Cherry Ginseng and DevaCurl low poo/condish
KCKT leave in, Naturelle Gel
Joimist or Aussie Sprunch Spray

I have KLINGON HAIR

My hair likes IAgirls PT!

I'm not sure what the dew points are like since I don't really follow them. I just bought a shampoo and conditioner that have protein in them so I'm hoping that might help a little.

Maybe you're doing too much protein? You keep mentioning it. If you're overdoing it, that will make your hair dry and less curly too.
