spray gel from walmart, target, etc.

So, my friend is going to try CG on her 3 year old. I was thinking a spray gel would be a good thing for her to try. If someone could tell me the name of the garnier one or any other CG spray gel that is easy to find, that would be awesome.

Edit: If anyone else has good suggestions for any other styling products for kids, that would be great too. I was just guessing that spray gel might be the easiest. Her daughter's hair is fine. Or any other tips for kids.

I believe its Garnier Curl Shaping Spray Gel. I have a bottle that I used maybe 2-3x but has fallen out of my rotation. If you want it, just pay shipping and its yours!
- 2C - Coarse Canopy & med/fine underlayers
- MOP C Hydrating 'poo

You mean the Garnier curl shaping spray gel? I used to love that stuff when I first started encouraging my waves!! Just make sure your friend know how thick it is before she buys it -- it's like a really thick regular gel in a spray gel bottle. I used to just take the spray cap off and dump some out in my hand because it was too thick and goopy, LOL! I think another popular spray gel is the Suave Captivating Curls spray gel -- CG and cheap! Haven't tried it, but I've heard good things about it. Maybe she'd also like to try LOOB or something, too.
Type 2c/3a with lots of hair and a super sensitive scalp! Med/slightly coarse texture, low porosity and elasticity.

Do such little kids need gel? The little (preschool-little) wavy and curly kids I've known or seen always looked like (in hindsight) a little leave-in conditioner for the frizzies or tangles and they would have been lookin' great.

Any gel can be mixed about 50-50 with well-boiled, (distilled) water and put in a spray bottle. I did that with Ecostyler when I used it - it turned opaque for a while, then cleared up again.

When my mother was little, she had shoulder-length "Shirley Temple" curls. Her mother would wrap the curls around her finger and they would stay (mostly) all day. She did the same for one of their granddaughters, but she would put a little hand lotion (gasp!) on her hands to help smooth the hair. I think conditioner would be better than hand lotion, but it worked like a charm.

I was thinking AVG or AVG and some conditioner with distilled water in a spray bottle.

Lucky Charm- Thanks for the offer, but I think shipping would cost about as much as a new bottle.

IAgirl- Good point. She probably doesn't need anything more then conditioner.

JaJC- I'll suggest the aloe to her.

What about that All In One Curl Definer that Kurly Princess came up with? It is part conditioner and part gel.
