Is it bad to diffuse every day?

The results of diffusing have been amazing. I get so much more body, definition, and bounce in my waves. But I'm concerned the heat styling will work against me long term. Second day hair is not something I'm competent at yet (I'm still working out first day hair...).

I'm using the medium heat setting, low air flow, and pixie curl diffusing.
I don't think 2nd day hair is possible for me either...my hair is between chin/shoulder length & looks like I stuck my finger in an outlet in the night. Seriously. I usually low poo/ use a RO and styling products daily and I diffuse everyday. I don't notice any damage due to it. But then again, before discovering this wavy/curly hair (got WAY more wavy after my last son was born), I would brush/blowdry and flat iron lightly everyday. I guess my hair is used to the abuse ). I agree that I wouldn't have near the curl or volume without diffusing. Airdrying would take forever and I don't think I'd have much curl at all. Goodluck!

Hmm, my whole reason for going CG was because straightening my hair every day was destroying it. It seriously looked and felt like hay when I stopped. That's why I'm concerned. I don't want that to happen again, although at least now I don't use sulfates and cones like I was doing when I straightened it. I also used higher heat and drying settings before.

Ideally I'll stop once spring comes around and my waves don't need as much help forming.

Not being able to get second day hair sucks! My waves are just too weak to last through sleep and all my tossing and turning. It would be so nice to save so much time and energy though.
I've used the diffuser on low heat every other day for a couple years. I don't think it is damaging my hair much. I'm sure it would be slightly healthier if I air dried exclusively, but it would also be less cute.
You won't do anything near the kind of damage you did with a flat iron. Flat irons apply high heat directly to the hair. And you were pulling on wet hair to straighten it with the blow dryer (bad for wet hair). I'd guess you are fine with the diffuser.
