How long to see a difference?

I just started going CG a few days ago (cowashing with VO5, then using Garnier Nutriusse Triple Nutrition as a rinse out, KCKT as a leave in, KCCC, and BRHG), and my hair definitely feels softer and a little healthier, but I was wondering how long it took wavies to see a noticeable difference after going CG?

Hmm there was a noticeable difference after about three weeks. But my hair didn't start looking its best (to me) until about three-four months in
whurly girly (2C/3A).
thick; medium/coarse; low porosity.
hair that is drier than the sahara desert.

LOW-POO: Renpure Organics
CO: L'Oreal EverCreme Cleansing Conditioner
RO: Renpure Keratin Conditioner. New HG!
LI: L'Oreal EverSleek Humidity-Defying LI Creme
Styling: SM Curl Milk, Argan Oil for sealing, sometimes GFPC Gel, some honey for hold, TIGI Control Freak Serum!!
I don't cowash, though I did the first few weeks. My hair changed a lot right away when I stopped brushing out the waves, and then more when I started using protein.
But after about 1 1/2 years now, all the hair I have is exclusively "CG hair" and it is wavier. Hairs that fall out now are often big corkscrews and I never saw that before. Pictures of my waves before show they are different than now, even with the same products. That's the long and the short view!

I noticed a difference on day one. I noticed a big difference about a month in.

2a (nc.com) 2bFi (Fia), very fine, thin, low/normal elasticity, porous, CG, doesn't get weighed down
Cowash: Tresemme naturals
Rinse out/leave in: Renpure Organics (red)
Curl enhancer: FSG

PT: ION effective care, IAgirl's gelatin PT
Low Poo: renpure (red), Ion swimmers
I noticed a nice big difference after a few months. After I started low-pooing all the time instead of CO-washing, I saw some great improvement! I'd definitely encourage you to go full on CG just for the experience...just strictly CO-washing might work out for you! But, adding a low poo into the mix a few months in if you're really not feeling it is a great option, too. I also noticed lots of difference once I really got a handle on what my hair liked and didn't like and how much moisture I need. You will probably find it helpful to figure out your hair properties. Finer hair almost always benefits from the addition of protein, so you might wanna look into that, too. Technique also makes a big difference. Diffusers definitely became my friend through the whole CG experience. HTH! Good luck.
Type 2c/3a with lots of hair and a super sensitive scalp! Med/slightly coarse texture, low porosity and elasticity.

Favorite...
Low poo: Organix TTM, Essential Wholesale Free & Clean
RO/LI: TN, GFTN, YTC
Stylers: EcoStylers, GF Curl Shaping Gel, Aussie Aussome Volume Mousse & Instant Freeze Gel, GFPC, LALNC, La Bella Lots of Curls, Apricot Oil, KMFUM, AO B5DG
Extras: sugar scrubs, AVG washes, pre-poos with EVCO, oiling scalp before washes, plopping, gelatin PT.
Mod-CG since 12/1/10!
I noticed a difference after 3 weeks. Taking lots of pictures helps a lot in seeing the difference. My hair started off coarse and frizzy with stringy ends, and it got softer and shinier and noticeably less frizzy after I hit three weeks. I'm a little over a month in now, and I have so much to improve on... Just be patient and you'll see a difference soon! Good luck!

Low Poo: Devacurl NoPoo, GTTT
Hair likes: plopping, diffusing, SMaster's, coconut and argan oil, honey, protein

I noticed a difference in about a week, but it took me about 2-3 months to really see some major changes. You'll be so happy you ordered the Curl Wizard -- it really gave me great info to work with, and made me more confident about choosing products!

One thing that helped me was, as Wavyshibby suggested, to take photos + also write down various combinations of products. It helped me see the differences that various techniques and products made.

There's so much great info here, and everyone is so helpful! Enjoy!
