Default Calling all 2a's: Show us your waves!

According to Fia, 2a hair is "loose, stretched out S-waves throughout the hair." If this sounds like you, share your piccies here. I will start with a picture of my waves before they decided to go on strike for the winter (grr). Apologies for the creepy-looking flash!

Pretty, pretty gals! 2a waves are gorgeous! I must admit, when I take photos of dark hair or anything dark where I need a little more light, I mess with it in my photo program to add highlights or use fill-in lighting so the details pop out. But that's a lot of bother.
I remember Saroyan with her pretty 2a/b hair so I'm linking to a couple posts of hers with pics.
Is my hair curly enough for CG? (see post #1 and #13)

This post may be a little picture heavy, but I know everyone likes seeing pictures (including me) I can definitely tell a difference between my waves pre CG and about a month later (now), but I wouldn't have realized it without taking pictures almost every time I do my hair. Here's my photos (with Biotera Curl Creme, KCCC, and BRHG):

ETA - my OCD needed to make sure the pictures were all right side up lol

haha I am not that technically inclined! You're right, it IS really tough to take photos of super dark hair!

Thank you Wavechaser. I wish I could say they actually looked like that most days, but that would be a lie...

Is it really just me, AsianRunner, and Kimmi (pretty hair, btw)? Yikes, we need more representation. I guess very few 2a's would even think to find this site, though.

Recently learned how to make my hair ultra wavy: Simply apply products in sopping wet hair! Although it takes like 60-90 minutes to air dry ~_~

I'm honestly not sure if it's 2b...... Maybe?

Thanks loremipsum, whenever I see your waves, I always think how pretty they are I've really learned to appreciate so many types of waves and curls, including mu own, from being on this site. I think many 2s probably don't think of themselves as 2a's because their wave pattern is stronger than 2a; that's what I thought until I read what you wrote about the Fia version of 2a.

Your hair looks 2b-ish to me, Chikyuu. You have quite a few peaks and troughs flowing through your hair. No big deal, it's still pretty hair that's worth seeing...

I suck at pictures too, but that doesn't stop me I just stick my camera in my medicine cabinet and use the timer...or if I'm feeling extra lazy, I use Photo Booth--but that will only work if you have a Mac.

This picture was exceptional...deceitful, even. I WISH I could get my hair to look like that consistently, but it was really a one-off thing that I haven't been able to replicate since

This undefined frizzfest is what I normally have...

I think I'm a 2A... This is the best picture I have of my hair, which looked better before I tried on 239874935872 dresses. Please ignore the headpiece, veil and tags. I was trying on wedding gowns.

Thank you I never would have realized how different my hair became, but thanks to taking pictures, I could really compare them and see the difference.

So, I am totally a lurker but couldn't resist adding to this thread - I've been modified CG (my flaky scalp will NOT tolerate CO!) for about a year and a half now. I originally OBSESSED over what to do with my hair (1 billion product trials, plopping, pineappleing, dry shampoo, CO washing, and so on and so on), and finally I just gave up and simplified everything: 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 product, the end.

Turns out my hair actually liked that, ha. I have made peace with the fact that I am always going to have a little frizz, but my little trio of products seems more or less effective. Aside from the products in my sig, I'm about to try out the Mop C-system c-curl curl defining cream as my "one and only" product.

ANYWAY... wanted to share some 2a-ness since part of my obsession was figuring out what on earth my hair is. I think I fall toward the 2b side of 2a, as my hair has some frizz to it, but overall my waves and their "suggestibility" are 2a.

These pics are from today, and actually represent a somewhat atypical day - did the usual shampoo/conditioner/product, but then had a massage that involved scalp, so some massage oil probably made it into my (still wet) hair, which was intermittently pulled up into a ponytail while still wet, then I tried some Ampro Olive Oil Gel sample that came in my CurlMart package today on the dry stuff (incidentally, not so bad at smoothing the frizzies and not feeling greasy...).

Either way, this isn't my hair at its BEST, but it's fairly representative...

Default New and I think I'm a 2a!

Hi ladies! First day in the forum and will start CG method today! I consider myself a 2a...but I'm not sure! Here's a pic of my wavies

This is back when I was using Matrix Sleek Look Shampoo and Conditioner.

That's all changing today, since I will be trying the CG method.

What do you all think? 2A? 2B?

TIA!
