Just wanted to share my never fail 2nd day routine!

Hey darlin's!

I have such hideous luck with 2nd day hair. But, I put up with it because I would just rather sleep in.

However, lately, I have really been digging my 2nd day hair. It all started when I was really frustrated with my hair a couple of weeks back. I ended up getting a haircut which helped enormously, and I went with my gut and started really focusing on products that would help with shutting out the humidity.

Anyway, back to the point, I finally discovered a second day routine that almost looks as good as the first. I scrunch in CCCC Lite, and then scrunch Pattern Pusha in on top. That's it! Nothing else. No pomades, no water, no protein spray. I discovered it totally by accident and then did some experimentation and it is truly just these two products scrunched into dry hair the next day. I have a little extra volume and my curls perk right back up! It is a teeeny bit producty feeling as compared to my first day hair (ouidad climate control gel), but it looks so good I don't care.

Just thought I'd share in case it works for someone else!

Woo Hoo! Way to go. You get to sleep in and have great hair. Wavy mastery.

I've also found that not adding water works best for my second day hair. If I spray with water, I destroy all the 1st day work that went into making clumps. I scrunch in a couple peas of conditioner. I think I'll eventually look for a curl cream to scrunch in. I have so many products around the house ATM that finding a curl cream for 2nd day hair isn't a priority.

So glad I came across this last night. I've been using CCCL for my second day hair for awhile. It was the best thing I'd found, but still not great (my hair HATES water for a refresher). I never thought to use gel on dry hair. Tried it this morning, and it's the best second day hair I've had yet!

Thanks so much for sharing :)

Oooh great tip! I also use CCCCL on second day hair...I scrunch in Devacurl Set it Free and then dry plop overnight (this really helps the curls get bouncier and shiny, and usually gives more volume) and in the morning I just take it out of the plop and use CCCCL and SIF, hairspray, and done! :)

Love it! So, is ouidad day one and the other 2 day 2? Don't drag me back into pj ism!

I tried this today and it worked! Used Biotera Curl Cream and Biotera Glaze and my 2nd day hair looks pretty good. I almost NEVER get 2nd day hair. If this continues to work, Goobernut, you're my new BFF.:wav:

So the gel on top is the secret? I've been trying to use CCCC lite as a second day refresher, but so far I haven't had much success :sad1:. It does cut down on frizz somewhat but it definitely doesn't perk anything up. When I wash my hair and dry it at night, sleeping on it pretty much turns it straight by morning. I would LOVE to find a product that allows me to get the waves I know I can get if I wash and blowdry in the morning.

I also have the best luck with dry hair and some product..usually for me it's Paul Mitchell mousse...I don't know why but it's so conditioning that it tames all my little frizz and gives me some volume.

Congrats on a 2nd day routine that works! It's worth it to not have to wash every day!

Well, you did now! :)

Oh wait. Now I bumped it.

Never mind.

(Man, this stuff is as bad as temporal mechanics.) :geek:

Question.... What do you do at night? So day one you use Ouidad then what do you do that night (if anything) to preserve the waves? I am so tempted to try this since I own CCCCL but my fine hair gets weighed down so easily that I'm nervous about putting a cream on already dirty hair :/.

Goob- I sent you a PM.
