Hair still wet after pineapple

When I style my hair at night, it is still damp after I take it out of the pineapple the next morning.
But what can I do with my damp hair to make it look right, instead of stringy and wet? Should I diffuse, use some more product?

Well, if your hair is like mine, part-wet, part-dry is going to be kind of difficult to do anything to fix.

Could you try plopping overnight to keep it more wet? This used to work OK for me when the hair was longer.

Or, diffusing in the morning might work. Try pushing it up with a diffuser and get it the rest of the way dry (or most of the rest of the way dry).

Or if you don't sleep restless, try sleeping with your hair loose and draped over the pillow behind you? Without the ponytail? Then it might dry overnight.

Thanks for your reply, Robin. I did diffuse the next day, but hair was already stringy and remained that way. Then I scrunched a little bit AVG in and that looked a bit better, but not much definition. I think I better skip the oil (that I added to my routine for the winter) when the dewpoints get up again.
