Default Your favorite Curl Junkie products

I'm reading a lot of good things about the CJ line, especially that some styling products won't weigh down wavy hair.
But, is this the truth?
I would really like to try some new styling stuff, like curl enhancer, gel, second day curl refresher.
What is your experience with CJ and wavy a/o fine hair? (Also negative comment is welcome )

I've been much happier with CJ cleansers and conditioners than with their styling products, but I know there were still a few more that I would like to try, now that I understand my hair a bit more. Here's what I've tried for styling and what I thought of each (I fully acknowledge that my results could be user error rather than product failure, and I will be re-visiting all of these products again):

CIAB- did not get good results on wet hair, but I've recently started using for SOTC and 2nd day hair with good results (usually mixed with CCCC)

CCCC/CCCCL- I couldn't decide so I tried both. I have better results with CCCC- even though my hair is fine, there's a lot of it and I didn't really feel like CCCCL did anything

Pattern Pusha- this is the only gel I've tried so far. I like it (except for the jar thing, but they fixed that). I add a bit of BRHG to it to get enough hold.

I got a sample of CCCCL from Kathymack. I've been loving it.

The only one I've tried so far is the CCCCL and I absolutely love it. I have a hard time getting the more expensive cleansers and conditioners from lines like CJ or SS because of how much of the product I use, I would end up going through really fast. But the CCCCL makes me hair feel like silk, I love it.

oh boy...I've tried a lot of their products but I do not have fine hair nor hair that's easily weighed down.

Cleansers
-Daily Fix: made my hair limp, didn't like the protein
-Gentle Shampoo: didn't seem to cleanse the best, too much protein

Conditioners
-BSC: love this!! protein is way at the end of the list and is also super moisturizing
-Smoothing: not sure if I'm liking it as much any more, seems a bit heavy
-Argan: seemed to make my hair a bit limp, I'm tempted to try it again

Styling
-AFL: worked really well at first, but didn't work well long term
-CCCC lite: didn't like cuz of the protein, made my hair straight
-PP: not enough hold
-Curl Queen: love this gel! medium hold but I mix it w/ a bit of BRHG

TX
-Curl Fix: worked ok but was sooo stinky
-Repair Me: works really well and is pretty moisturizing as well
-Curl Rehab: love this as a rinse out and DT

Thanks for your replies! Also for the protein warning, some protein I can handle but not every protein, so I will check that out.

Many CJ products are too moisturizing for my baby fine, wavy hair. It doesn't help that I also have soft water. I tried CCCCL, did not do much for me and I ended up OC'ed, no curl enhancement that I noticed. Daily fix was nice, but v05 works better for me since Daily fix doesn't have much slip and I need slip when co-washing. LOVE Beauticurls conditioner, light RO with protein, doesn't weigh hair down or give too much moisture. Curl Queen was ok, but not much hold. CIAB did nothing for my hair except make me OC'ed (it added shine, but that looked greasy IMO), but I always applied it to damp or wet hair, never tried it to SOTC since I usually do that with clean dry hands.

So I guess I agree that the cleansers and conditioners are better than the stylers.

I am on the fence with Daily Fix. I prefer SS unreleased cleanser that I had a small tester of out of all the ones I have tried. I liked the Curls Creamy Cleanser, and think I may like it more than DF. I have not tried Deva Curl No Poo, and I want to try the new Loreal one.

Conditioners...

Well, I really wanted to like BSC, but my hair can't handle the glycerin in it. I might give it a try in warmer weather. I like that it is a good amount of slip and not too heavy.

I do like Curl Fix a lot, though I have a feeling it would be too heavy with regular use.

Repair Me is good, though it is more of a treatment than a rinse out, I have used it as a short PT/rinse out.

Argan Oil...I'm meh on. I don't love it or hate it.

Rehab...love the strawberry ice cream smell, love the thick and creamy, definitely not an everyday one to use. I will be OC'd in no time.

The stylers are still out for debate.

I've actually liked almost everything from this line that I've tried. CIAB gives me nice loose, pretty waves but still defined rather than the beachy look I get with some products or no product at all. Curl rehab is just the best; can't say enough about it. The gentle cleansing shampoo is working really well for me; it may be the cleanser of my dreams. The Argan oil conditioner I'm not too passionate about but it's fine? I'm not going to buy another bottle. And I like the smoothing lotion a lot though I use it exactly the way I use my SheaMoisture milk and I prefer the SM plus it's cheaper.

The one I'm just discovering I love and going to have a hard time with is the second day mister. It's REALLY good; smells nice but not overwhelming, does exactly what it's supposed to do, leaves me with nice refreshed waves. But I only bought it for the hell of it cause I wanted free shipping on my order ...can I justify spending that much on a second day hair product again when it runs out? Sigh.
