Default What am I? 2a? 2b?

I still can't figure out what I am. I just got back my hair analysis results and they are as follows:

Texture: Medium-Fine (finer than medium, but not barely there enough to be considered truly fine).
Porosity: Normal
Elasticty: Normal

So, knowing that and looking at these photos... what do you think? I'm leaning towards 2a, but it can't hurt to get some second opinions. I've got fairly loose wave (but underneath it can get pretty tight waves that stick right on my head), but it tends to frizz and doesn't clump well. At least I don't think it clumps well.

Thoughts?

It looks to be 2A to me, but I'm not that great at typing hair. We have almost the same properties, I have low elasticity though. I think your hair is very pretty. My hair clumps together best when I have a good hair cut. I've gotten not such great ones and not been able to get much of any clumps. I've started cutting my own hair and it is clumping together great now!

I think that's the biggest problem when we try to type our curls, instead of our hair. Because the curls just don't follow "the rules"!

For lots of people, when they've been doing CG for a while, their curl shape changes, so then you're a new "type", even though the hair properties are the same. It's madness, madness I say!

Right now, you look like 2a to me, but that will probably change, and won't tell you how to treat your hair

I'd definitely say 2a mostly because that's how mine looks without product (straight with bendy pieces is a phrase I got from another user because it's so descriptive of my hair); I type my hair with product in it because that's it's potential, but your hair and my hair are very similar.

Bendy pieces.... That's about right... lol! Ok, I'm going with 2a unless something HUGE changes with my hair. Thank you everyone!

@jakrussel, by the way, you may have somewhat of a hair twin in me (even though our properties aren't exactly the same, they're pretty close). Feel free to PM me and ask questions if you want, or if you're curious, I started a thread on the 2's board a while back that was titled something along the lines of "fine, normal, normal" where people with those hair properties listed what they used and liked/didn't like so you might want to check that out. HTH.

I think you may be right! I've always kind of thought that just by your photos, but I was waiting for my hair analysis to come in before searching for twins. I'm going to start stalking your posts. lol... I got some good product suggestions from the hair analysis too, and most of them were wheat free to boot! That's been problematic for me. Trying to find products for my hair type that are silicone free, sulfate free, and wheat free.

I finally have some naked hair photos (I had to blow dry a little so my hair is just a touch straighter than it would be if I air dryed). I think our hair is pretty close to identical

Oh, cool. This entire time I've been avoiding it because I thought it had cones. I think I need to stop using Deva's ArcAngel though because of the wheat in it I've been developing a rash on my face and am not sure sure from what, but thinking it might be the gel.

As Corrina said, no cones; here's the list of ingredients in case you wanted to see it (excuse any typos, copying off my bottle of BRHG by hand):

Aqua/Water/Eau, PVP, Acrylates/Steareth-20 Itaconate Copolymer, Proylene Glycol, Hydrolized Silk, Panthenol, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Triethanolamine, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinon, Parfum,
Hexyl Cinnamic Aldehyde, Benzyl Benzoate, Linalool, Gama Methyl Ionone, Citronellol, and the rest I can't read because there's a sticker over it.

I think it was the items ending in one that made me think cones. Cool. Good to know they aren't.

Kimmidawn, just saw your photos you posted here (can't see them on my work computer for some reason). Our hair does look a lot alike naked!
