Default Should I do it?

I have an appointment for this thursday night to go get my hair cut by the woman who cuts my moms hair and my mom really likes. The salon sells deva products, and I want to try a dry or deva-type cut, but I'm not sure if thats what I'm going to get because on the website the person who I have an appointment with isn't listed as being deva cut trained. My mom is convinced it will be perfect because the stylist has wavy/curly hair that is apparently quite healthy and nice looking. I want to get a cut because last time i got my hair thinned and so now the bottom of my curls are all fuzzy. Should I go through with this, or cancle and make an appointment with one of the Deva-trained stylists? Would it be rude to cancel fro someone else after my mother had talked to her about my hair at an appointment and made plans for this?

Can you do a consultation with the stylist, before you get your hair cut? Find out if the two of you have the same thoughts and goals for your hair?
WurlyLox and Lucky Charm like this.

Dry cuts aren't for everyone, but if your mom is happy with the stylist, and you like your mom's hair, it stands to reason that you'll like what her stylist does with your hair, regardless of the method.

If you're ok with your mom's hair, it's probably fine. I'd at least try it. The Deva trained stylists might have shared their knowledge with the others. You never know. I don't know if a Deva cut would work on my hair anyway. My waves are very loose. I think it's an entirely differnt monster than curly hair.
